There are a few ways of interfacing with the unconscious. Night-time dreams are one of them. I love my night dream space; it’s an endless exploration of adventure and curiosity.
Night time dreams, what are they? I’m always asking that question. How can they arrive and be so bazaar or so pleasing or so random? For me they have become a way to cultivate relationship with the great mystery of all things. However, what I receive in dreams is beyond my conscious choice or is it?
Our conscious mind body is lying comfortably in bed totally rested, relaxed, a sleep. I can’t really go into a dream and say “I want to dream about this or that”. Dreams show up. When I remember a dream that is my invitation to dialogue with it, have a conversation with it, and start a relationship with it. This is where real communication with our unconscious can begin to take on a new meaning.
Night dreams are gifts, coded messages for us to decipher and utilize for the benefit of ourselves and others. Trusting our dreams is the biggest gift no matter how disturbing, grand or scary.
